Tonight I soldered on the pilot and co-pilot audio & mic jacks plus the iPhone stereo jack and tested the circuitry. Everything works as it should, except the co-pilot mic. The terminations, continuity and pinouts are just right, but there's no reception on the mic with either headset. Tomorrow I'll substitute another lead and re-test. If that doesn't work .... hhmm ... could be a comm panel fault.
