With the rear bow roughly in place, I measured for a 1/8" gap between the bow and the extended upper surface of the slider track. Something was awry and it turned out the slider track wasn't bent far enough to be parallel to the turtle deck # 7 bulkhead, so I clampted it to the workbench and beat it into shape ... a single blow of the rubber mallet was enough.
