Today my mate's son Grayson came over for some work experience leading into the school holidays. Together we removed the rear aileron torque tube attach bracket, manufactured a new one and TIG welded it forward of the front bracket to avoid having to open out the fuselage centre-tunnel and side-skin holes. I suspect the jig at the factory is incorrectly set up, but TeamRocket confirmed the mod should be just fine.
