I replaced all the nutplates around the battery cover with CAMLOC fasteners – I had never used them before and expected them to have the same hole distance ... wrong !!
It became a five hour job putting 0.032” doublers along the flange to get the grip range right and bolster the attach points where there are now four holes instead of two.
I’m still not convinced that I won’t cut off the flanges on the forward baggage floor and rivet on new angle of the right thickness to tidy all this up.
