I cut and installed the cockpit rails. The instructions are fairly scant for detail on this operation, particularly since the stated dimensions are inaccurate. I needed to make shims to go between the top of the # 4 bulkhead (spar passthrough) and cockpit rail because the bulkhead flanges on one side were too low and on the other side they were uneven. The flanges are also very short, so I had to compromise on the space between rivet holes in the cockpit rail to allow adequate edge distance in the flange underneath.
I started to measure up the cross brace and gussets, but realised the Velo seats may not sit in the same position as the regular seat pan, so I will need to check when I have the seats.
