The ELT antenna needs to go inside dorsal fin ... it's 'draggy' as ever and certainly not built for speed!! So, I had to work out positioning to get the dorsal fin height and angles right and I don't want the whip to touch the VS in flight. I also don't want much of the antenna sticking out of the top of the dorsal fin. The fairing needs to be fibreglass because the antenna is base loaded (the base is part of the radiator length).
The fuselage is quite curved at this point, so while I was at it I made matching curved washers top and bottom to relieve the stress on the skin after tightening.
