First I drilled the upper cowl holes to just under half inch for the grommets and studs, then temporarily riveted the receptacles in place with soft rivets to check the overall alignment.
To my dismay, the barrels in the SK215 floating receptacles turn WAY too easily because the locking pins / ball bearings don't move freely enough under limited pressure from the O-ring. Consequently, the receptacle depth varies as the studs are inserted or removed, so they will all have to be upgraded ... aarrgghh (-:
Note: I ordered SK245 replacement receptacles and it will be interesting to see if SkyBolt offer a discount or coupon for the trouble.
