I measured 8" back from the aft edge of the #4 bulkhead, then marked and drilled one hole at a time for the canopy bow. It was important that the bow is far enough inside the sill to prevent the holes cutting the edge of the longerons. I had previously re-bent the bow to suit the fuselage, so the spacing was as it should be.
