Tonight James and I finished the mold for the NACA scoop duct using DAS clay and bees wax. First we measured where the wing fairing meets the fuselage to avoid mutual interference with the NACA scoop. Then we mixed a batch of Aerosil and epoxy to radius the transition to the flange, and applied carbon fibre strips. When this sets, we'll overlay with more layers of carbon to strengthen the duct ready for sanding and painting, then we'll make an ally doubler for the hole in the fuselage.
