I sanded around the scoop attach flange, cleaned with Xylene, taped the scoop off and overlaid a coat of Upol Reface. This is to take up the last of the hollow between the cowl and the scoop (i.e. the resin starts thick and ends reasonably abruptly at an angle on the cowl so it's not so thin that it would crack away under vibration loads).
