Early today I put the air filter in place and built up a layer of epoxy and Aerosil along the rear edge to hold the filter in place. This came apart easily without any mould release agent because the filter edge is silicon. Later, I smoothed this off and added a layer of Carbon to strengthen the area. I mixed Aerosil with the leftover resin and built up the lip of the filter box cover where it is supposed to press down on the front of the filter. The sides will be pinned down with brackets fitted to the inner edge of the filter box cover.
