I gave some thought to positioning for the NACA scoops, since others have found little airflow behind the 'cheeks' of the engine cowl. I will probably site mine lower, where the fuselage is closer to parallel with the airflow. Lower siting should also stop rain from making its way up the SCEET tube to the punkah louver.
I fabricated a template for marking the fuselage cutout, then started making doublers. I also made two stainless steel filter elements to keep the bugs out.
