Brief Description:  Weldon fuel pump

Weldon fuel pump

Tonight I added an attach doubler to the pedestal base to screw down the forward tunnel cover panel. I made a slot for the fuel line and will add nutplates to secure the pedestal base to the intermediate bulkhead and the forward cover to the tunnel sides tomorrow.

I decided to remove the return line fitting and place this in the line between the left tank and fuel valve. If I always prime from the right tank, cool fuel will pass through the engine fuel lines and back to the left tank (and then vent overboard if the tank is absolutely full, but the waste amount ought to be minimal if at all).

I bolstered the support tray (more to be done for the gascolator) and drilled for nutplates to secure the fuel pump, FT-60 fuel-flow sensor and Andair smoke oil pump.

The instructions call for 6" of smooth fuel travel before the FT-60, so I will increase the length of the 180 deg line for this purpose.
