I fully sanded the intake scoop ready for another pirme. I'll probably need another prime on the outer face to seal the rest of the pinholes, but all in good time.
I then chamfered the edges of the cowl receptacle to accept another match mold of epoxy and Aerosil, this time with the inside edge of the scoop taped up so the formed edge is a radius. I need to do this to preserve edge distance on the scoop camlocs, while ensuring there is enough gap between the cowl and the scoop to prevent the painted edges from chipping.
