I smoothed the carbon fibre reinforcing the front edge of the upper cowl and applied a thick coat of Upol Reface. When that sets, I'll sand, prime and then paint ready to bed the upper cowl into a mix of epoxy and Aerosil. This will make the upper and lower halves match exactly and disuade the airflow from separating the cowls in-flight.
