Brief Description:  02 - Cowl

Cowl

I prepared the mating surfaces with #60 grit, mixed some epoxy and Aerosil, primed, bonded and overlaid epoxy/Aerosil mix to smooth out the surfaces.

Thanks to Reed Somberg for the idea! This will allow me to leave the entire intake in situ when the upper cowl is removed, in turn making it easier to replace the upper cowl without rearranging the baffle seal. It will also facilitate fabricating the plenum intakes to line up with the lower cowl intakes.

When this sets up, I'll tape the edge of the lower cowl, join it with the upper cowl and lay up a short lip on the upper cowl to prevent the airflow forcing the two apart.

Later I'll cut the intake scoop to make an door to access the point where the SCAT tube connects to the fuel servo.
