I constructed a hanging shelf to store the canopy out of harm's way. The ceiling in my workshop is actually the floor of the house above and the steel formwork has tapered gaps running full length. This allowed me to make threaded tabs that could be inserted and turned 90 degrees to suspend hooks for the chains. The threaded hooks are screwed in until they contact the steel channel above, clamping the fitting tight.
Next I'll add a second shelf suspended from the first to store the sheet metal empennage skins until they're assembled, then the shelf can be used to store the empennage.
