Brief Description:  Wheel assembly

Wheel Assembly

Simply followed the Grove instructions and those on the Condor tyre label. Cleaned the tyre bead with denatured alcohol, talc'd inside each tyre and the inner tube, placed the tube in the tyre and partially inflated to align the tube, then released the pressure in the tube and rotated it so the valve was adjacent to the red alignment mark.

Removed the retaining springs, flat washers and felt seals, cleaned the preservation grease out of the Timkin wheel bearings and re-packed with wheel bearing grease. Reinstalled the bearings, assembled the wheels and disk brakes and tightened to 90 inch pounds with the torque wrench.

Temporarily installed the axles, spacers, wheel nuts and split pins.
