I made four beam supports low down on the stand to carry heavier rolls, such as the 500m of 1200 wide butcher's paper, which weighs around 40kg.
The bends were too tight for the bar bender, so I bandsawed along the bend line, hammered to shape, then TIG welded the seams closed again before joining them to the mounting plates.
I used galvanised steel pipe rather than ally for the extra weight and installed a bunch more nutserts in case I need to adjust the height later on.
