Today I flew three friends out to Narromine in the Mooney Ovation II for AUSFLY. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to hire a Rocket ship to get to the event !!
We had to depart for Richmond to arrive before dark, but I was later awarded the Dave Derbyshire Memorial trophy for the 34-page IFR Safety Case to CASA. Thank you for the recognition guys ... it was my pleasure. My thanks go to everyone on the team who contributed great ideas and arguments ... I couldn't have done it without you. Thanks also to Eddie Seve for filming the presentation and to Ian Woodhead for collecting the trophy on my behalf and for the kind words.
