Just back from visiting my Dad in NZ after he suffered a serious heart attack. Needless to say, I'm raring to get back into Rocket building and hope to finish in time to take him for an adrenalin rush around Southland.
While I was there, I got to jump in John Baynes' newly imported Rocket at Mandeville, which was exciting. Testing is nearly complete and the NZ countryside with mountains, rolling hills, streams and cold air are just perfect for some exhilarating high-speed flying.
I also landed a couple of decent trout during a 10km trek into the ranges ... a 6lb 1oz brown, followed soon after by a 5lb rainbow. Ya just gotta love flying and fly fishing :)
