At first I taped the top of fairing # 1 to control the fill, but that proved not to be necessary. Unfortunately, with fairing # 2 I installed the cured foam upside down, so then needed to remove the expanding foam, reposition and start over. It's important that the GLF sits on the upper surface of the gear leg so there's room underneath for the middle section of gear leg to flex down with load on the wheels. There's nothing too hard about all this, but it's a messy process and I had to keep an eye on alignment to ensure the fairing remained parallel to the airflow and at 1/3 chord while the foam hardened.
