I trimmed away the excess carbon fibre with the bandsaw, then planed the edges until smooth. Later, I'll rout a radius to suit the titanium gear legs and cut the profiles to fit in trail inside the gear leg fairings. They needn't be too wide, given that 1mm of carbon fibre will add considerably to the fore/aft stiffness of the timber.
