I measured, then added a few additional layers of 1" wide 200GSM carbon inside the upper edge of the lower intersection fairings (to take up space without creating a huge bearing surface). There's enough room now for a layer of UHMD tape on the bottom of each GLF to cope with abrasion in this high vibration area.
