The plans say to cut the split line 1/4" below the trailing edge of the Lower Gear Intersection Fairing (LGIF), but I was concerned this would leave the trailing edge of the gear leg fairing (GLF) captive as I try to move the LGIF up and away to access the wheel pant screws, so I transitioned to a trailing edge split line about 40mm before the end. The point of this is to facilitate relieving the trailing edge of the GLF down inside the LGIF so it fits through the opening easily, but that area will remain well hidden when assembled. It worked out pretty well, so I went ahead and added the #8 nutplates to the hidden tabs as well.
