Despite all the instructions about how to align the GLF with the airflow, there's only a brief mention of that also being parallel to the flats machined on the titanium gear legs themselves. When I clamped the GLF to the gear leg and checked the Upper Gear Intersection Fairing (UGIF) everything was aligned perfectly, so I got back to work trimming the trailing edges, tops, bottoms and recessess of both GLFs until it got too late to make noise in the gararage.
To my dismay, it became apparent that one LGIF opening is actually bigger than the other (one LGIF actually fits straight over the other), so the space betwen the GLF and the LGIFs on opposite sides is different. That's really going to bug me, so I'll have to devise a cunning fix ... TBD.
