I finish trimmed the wheel hole in the starboard pant and trimmed the axle openings to match each other, then drilled both aft sections for # 8 nutplates, match-drilled both pairs up to #19 and riveted the nutplates in place. Then I countersunk the outer holes for tinnerman washers, taped up the aft sections, applied a thick layer of epoxy/Aerosil and screwed/clamped the halves together, making fine adjustments as required to ensure the fore/aft sections were flush.
