After all the modifications, I bead-blasted, EP-71 primed and 2K coloured the flap torque tube and made new Acetal plugs for the ends to position it laterally in the support blocks exactly where I want it to be relative to the fuselage longerons (in retracted position). It all worked out very well in the end.
