I wet sanded the clear coat back with 1000, 2000 and 3000 grit thinking this would prepare the wing well for final polish. I've always known it's hard to remove scratches from dark colours, but I was really unimressed to discover that G3 actually contains fillers that disguise scratches just long enough to get the job out the workshop door ... gggrrr. As soon as I applied Stage 2 polish and wax finish they came right back to haunt me. It turns out that I should have started with 1200, then 1500 grit and all would be good in the world ... sigh.
