The finger screens worked out well, but we needed inlets for the vent line, so James and I spent some time turning threaded bulkhead pass throughs on the lathe. The outer hole is taper-threaded to accept the 1/8" BSP 1/4" air line fitting and the other end bored to accept a short piece of 3/8" fuel line that I can twist right up under the filler cap flange during installation (highest point in the tank). This will help prevent fuel spilling or syphoning down the vent line to the ground.
