James and I reshaped the hole for the landing/taxi light and filed the edges of the lens recess to ensure the light will fit in the lens with room for the new sidewall. When that was done we scuffed the area with 40 grit paper ready for resin. Next we applied several layers of carbon to a taped-on square of waxed polycarbonate to remake the sidewall and then reinforced the light socket. Later we'll grind out the overhanging material to refit the light, then start matching the lens to the recess.
