After tracing the outline of the AveoMaxx light into the tip, I decided the new spacing still wasn't up to spec, so I removed the wall for relocation. Tomorrow I'll die grind out the excess and trim the hole for the light, then I can lay up the wall in exactly the right place.
Unfortunately, of the four new polycarbonate light covers I ordered a couple of years back (that took nine months to arrive), only one is large enough to be useable and even that's a stretch ... why you ask ... because the company failed to follow my instructions to leave more excess material ... ggrrrr. Instead, all but one are smaller than the originals. Later I think I'll make a strong mould of each wing tip around the light and then vacuum bag my own oversized polycarbonate or acrylic light covers.
