Tonight I machined a drilling guide for the mould and glassed that in place. It doesn't look straight, but that won't matter at all in terms of functionality. While I was at it I thickened the upper edge of the VS tip so that I can reshape and trim some more off the top (it's a tad too high for the rudder).
