I balanced the elevator on the hinges and decided the additional weight wasn't enough, so James and I cast a slightly larger weight, bolted it in place, riveted on the fairing and smoothed the area with a layer of epoxy and Aerosil. Once again, we tapered the trailing edge of the fairing to make extra surface area for the extension to grip.
