Tonight James and I fitted the intermediate ally and flexible smoke oil lines. We drilled out two of the AD-3 rivets in the floor doubler and replaced them with #8 screws and used a small e-circlip to hold them in place. We then added a washer, a P-clamp, a washer and a nut at both places. We then drilled out the bulkhead hole to 20mm to accept a grommet and fabricated the Speedflow hose to join the filter to the ally pipe. At the front, we ran the formed pipe under the Aux fuel line and over the spar bulkhead to the tunnel support bracket. We measured and drillled for a nutplate and screwed it down. From there the pipe will join to the smoke oil shutoff valve and then on to the smoke oil pump. There is plenty of clearance with the control torque tube ... kinda important !!
