Brief Description: Assembled and riveted Stabilator skeleton
Cut the alumin hinge spacers to the specified 21/32" length. I found That if I look a small length of 2x2 (salvaged from Van's shipping container, drilled a 5/16" hole through the end, inserted the aluminum tube through it, and then cut the 2x2 and the tube to the proper length using my handy-dandy DeWalt woodworkers miter saw, I could generally get things to within a few thousandth of the desired length--that extra precision being, of course, totally unneccesary--but just to say that I did.
I then rounded off the forward end of the stabilator ribs per the destructions, clecoed all the ribs to the spar box,and riveted it all together. I know how a Stabilator Skeleton. Frabjoyous Day.
