Brief Description: Empennage/Tail cone kit arrives on Fedex freight
Empennage/tailicone box is about 10 ft x 3 ft x 1ft, weighing in at about 225 pounds. The Fedex Freight driver, a helpful neighbor, and I unloaded at got it into the garage/shop.
The packing of all the small parts, large parts, and sheet metal is a work of art in itself. The Van's shipping dept has there act together. Only four parts out of a large number were are back order--unfortunately two of the four backordered parts are on the first subassembly to be built, the vertical stab.
In the background standing on its side is a 40" x 74" fold-up workt able to supplement a 30" x 72 inch mapletop workbench. The worktable began its life as twin bed box-non-springs--a plywood rendition of a box springs.
