Brief Description:  Rudder pedal extension idea/problems

Haruko tried out the cockpit for size, and found it difficult to reach the rudder pedals, even with about four inches of padding on the seatback. The drawing here is an idea for some quick snap on/snap off rudder/brake pedal exensions. Since I do wordworking better than metal-smithing, the idea is to use some black UHMW like that used for the current rudder pedals, routing out concave and convex extensions of both rudder and brake pedals. The rudder petal is made with thickier (1.25") UHMW sheet, such that it will fit over the existing UHMW ruddel pedal, while the brake pedal is made of 1" UHMW like that used for the normal rudder pedal. The two extensions are held together with a third verical piece of UHMW, also routed out such that it fits over the vertical protion of the brake pedal. The three portions will be screwed or bolted togetther, and either a spring clip or vecro strap used to hold the extension assembly to the brake pedal vertcal.
