The dreaded task of longeron fabrication has come. Cut and measured out both right and left longerons. Openened the angle on the right longeron--the soft-faced hammer didn't do much for me. Used some scrap angle over the angle-to-be-mangled, and struck that with a three-pound sledge, and then twisted angle back to flat. Spend $30.00 on bending dies instead of $70 on a new 6" vise. Began the bending process for the right longeron--worked a few hours on in, and still have about 1/8 inch to go.
