Brief Description: formed flaperon aluminum extrusion bearing bracket
Cut the aluminum extrusions to the proper length for the end-rod bearings, drilled the holes to size, and tapped with 3/8th x 24 taps. Though of doubtufl utility for weight "savings", (well less than an ounce, I'm sure), I set up the bandsaw for the 30-degree cut to bevel as per the optional instructions. Made use of some 1/2" UHMW sheet to make a jig to aid in cutting--actually worked pretty well, but I needed to wear gloves--half way through the cut, it was too hot to hold. Sooth things out on the 6" scotchbrite wheel.
