Brief Description: Worked on wingtips, began flaperon prep work
Clecoed some of the right wingtip skins in place and discovered that that Van's had sent me two W-1204-F-L parts, one of which was labeled -R. Sent email to Van's to get the right part.
Began collecting and deburring parts of the flaperons. Drilled holes for the flaperon counterweight for the left flaperon. Finding it difficult to mach-hole drill aluminum and the steel counterweight, so there is some enlargment of the aluminum holes, but nothing catastrophic. began laying out and cutting the aluminum angle to form the tabs for the flaperon control connections at the wing root. Found that the woodworking bandsaw with a metal blade in it bogs down very quickly when cutting the 1/8th-inch think aluminum, so the cutting goes very slowly.
