B and C Specialities has a diagram on their website for wiring an indicator light to show you when the starter is engaged. I figured if it's good enough for the R22 it's good enough for my Safari. The circuit requires a 2 amp fuse in-line from the starter contactor. The photos below show the harness I made for this circuit.
