After trimming the panel perimeter and making all instrument cutouts, it was time to provide mounting brackets for the panel where it rests in the instrument pod. I will have six attach points as well as a hinge at the bottom of the panel that will allow the panel to tilt forward enough to access the wiring harnesses inside the pod without completely removing the instrument panel. Though not very wide, the pod housing is quite deep. I will make attachments for the power buss that the pod will house. I may also provide a ground buss in the pod to minimize the length of the wire runs. The Lamar MC-10 electrical control unit provides three seperate power busses, each independently protected by a circuit breaker. The remaining two will reside under the co-piolts seat. I'm still designing the electrical layout so this may change.
