Brief Description: Preparing to cut Instrument Panel
Since the cabin is at my buddies paint shop, I now will have more time to work on the instrument panel. I began by cutting the blank from 1/8" aluminum. With the number and size of the cut-outs, I thought a thicker gage would be sturdier and have less chance to let the instruments vibrate. The increase in weight is insignificant. After cutting out the blank, I coated it with a light coat of flat black spray paint. I will then scribe the instrument /switch cutouts thru the paint.
