I ordered the Dynon D100 EFIS unit and the Becker transponder today. I want the instruments in hand for final sizing of the panel before I start cutting metal. Dynon is 4-6 weeks out at the factory due to some severe storms that we had in the Seattle area last month (some areas were out of power for over a week) but Aircraft Spruce say's I can get them by the first week of Feb. In the mean time, I cut a full size mockup out of cardboard to check the general layout. I also printed out the switch/indicator labels at full size. I can tell that I will need to reduce the font size to match the labeling on the switch console and I'll also need to move the top row of indicator lights down a bit. Since I've replaced the factory supplied indicators with LED units, I will wire a press-to-test switch on the main panel.
