Brief Description: Installing Ignition Wire Seals In Bottom of Shroud
I ordered the seals below from Aircraft Spruce to avoid using a large rubber grommet. After spending all the time to make an hour glass cutout in each panel for the seal, I found the the spark plug connector would not fit through the opening. There may be a simple way to remove the wire from the mag cap, but it wasn't apparent at the time and I didn't want to take a chance of screwing up my ignition harness. I decided to enlarge the cutout to allow for the spark plug cap to fit through. I mounted the seal on the outside of the panel to cover the enlarged hole. I will be painting the shroud and seals black.
