Brief Description: Determining Routing of Ignition Leads
When I ordered this engine, I choose to keep one mag and replaced the other with a Plasma III electronic ignition unit. The leads on the mag are labeled with the cylinder number and position (top or bottom spark plug). This positioning can be ignored if you are only using one mag as long as you place the lead to the proper cylinder. This fact can simplify the routing of the wires. The mag doesn't care if it's firing the plug in the top or the bottom of the cylinder. I decided to route the mag leads to the shroud side of the motor and the Plasma leads to the other side. I had to get the routing figured out so I could cut the holes for the wire seals in the bottom covers.
