Brief Description:  Modification of Bottom Engine Shroud Pieces

I bought the pre-fabbed shroud option when I purchased the kit. I had quite a time fitting the bottom baffle panels. There seems to be quite a difference in the various engine cases available. The right side panel was formed too wide and caused the bottom to bow and actually forced the bottom of the side panel away from the engine case. This would have resulted in keeping the rocker cover from sealing tightly. I had to trim the edge of the panel where it meets the accessory case app. 1/8" to get a good fit. This ended up placing the cutouts for the engine mount off-center, but I as able to enlarge the hole and still provide a good seal (see photo 1 below).

The right bottom panel fit like a glove, except the conical mount hole was also not centered perfectly. You will also be required to drill a hole in the engine case to help secure the the forward edge of the panel (see photo 2 & 3 below). This hole should line up with a boss cast into the engine case for this purpose.
