The kit includes most of the parts necessary to make the carb heat box. The flapper, bearings, rod and arm were not furnished and the factory cutouts in the sides of the box can make it difficult to fit the bearings. I ended up ordering and modifying a carb heat repair kit from Aircraft Spruce. I ground the round bearing housings down into a triangle shape to fit the top of the box and welded a new longer rod onto the arm as well as a flapper. The inside of the box was also painted to prevent corrosion. I think it was Bill who came up with the idea of using a commonly available mesh-style pencil holder as screen for the fresh air intake.
