Seven inches of the end of the blades were painted with a Safety Yellow polyurethane topcoat after light sanding and solvent cleaning. The remaining portions of the blades were masked to prevent overspray. Due to their size, the blades had to be painted outside the shop. I used an accelerator in the paint to help speed the drying and to lessen dust/dirt contamination.
